The Mini hazard switch is a six pole single throw switch custom made for the application. From memory, when OFF, two out of the six poles are connected together and the other four are not connected together. When ON, these two poles are separated and the other four poles are connected together. It is possible to use other switches, its just not a straight swap.i just want a switch, why is it not possible?

A 4 pole double throw toggle switch will replace the hazard switch with no other electrical work needed.
Search for a thread called 'flicky switches' from 2004 with me posting on it. I listed all the toggles needed to replace every switch in the car, it was my first reply here!
