Hi everyone
I'm currently in the process of removing body panels which have been plug welded on. It's my first time at removing panels and I'm struggling to remove some of the welds.
Does anyone have any tips that would help me?
Thanks in advance!

If they are plug welds and not spot welds a spot weld drill may not work as it depends on the size of the plug weld. On average they are normally 1/4" for plug welds whereas spot welds are generally smaller. You can get larger spot weld drills but it is difficult to find the centre of a plug weld especially if it has been ground down flush and polished up.
If push comes to shove you can grind down onto them or just cut along the panel edges to remove the panel and then grind away the old flange.
If it is an original spot weld then use the spot weld drill bits or you can use a 1/4" drill bit which is how i do them, just do not go all the way through.
