Hi i am new to minis, i stripped mine to the shell, for bodywork.

I sent it off with the steering wheel and pedal box in since then garage has taken them out and i dont even think the originals have been put back in.

But anyway does anyone have any pics or information on how these go as i have no faith in what the garage, or what they have done, does the steering column bolt to the pedal box in some way as mine is bolted to the metal part of the body and dont feel very solid.

Also should the pedal box have a switch for brakes (1993 sprite)

Hope this makes sense. Thank in advance >_<

The steering column clamp is fixed to a nutplate that sits in the dash rail using two screws. The fork at the front of the pedal box is clamped into place by of these two screws which goes through a rectangular yellow steel locating plate that is quite important for keeping everything rigid. The other screw has packing to bring it level with the one through the pedal box. This is the third time I've had to describe this lately, I really should get a picture of it.

Yes the pedal box should have a brake light switch attached.
