Hi,
I've planned to buy a torque wrench.
I have found a Sykes Pickavant ref 80006000 (here for example : http://cgi.ebay.fr/w...=STRK:MEWAX:IT)
Is the tool a good average quality / price ?
It's less expensive than Facom for example, would like to know if some of you guys have an opinion.
Thanks you,
Philippe

Very good quality tools. Probably more rugged than a Facom one.

Yep, certainly high quality tools.
For £100 you can pick up the likes of a second hand snap on digi wrench though.

Ok, you confirm SP is good quality. I need to seek for Snap On tool too, if a good deal is available.
Seems like Snap On prices are close to Facom's prices.
Here in France when you said "quality tools" the answer is the same "Facom". I know there is other good brand for tools now.
About second hand, for "simple" good quality tools, why not. But for a torque wrench I would not.
Thanks you for all your advices. Now, it's Ebay time
by the way : if you know online UK shop for tools with sometime good bargain, would appreciate to have them.
Thx
Phil

they are very good tools,
i would buy a torque wrench based on the calibrated accuarcy though.
torque wrenches (cheap ones) can be 10% out from factory, most decent tool companys provide a calibration sheet, i personally went for a sealey digital torque wrench that had a calibration accuracy of 1.5%
torque wrenches should also be checked/recalibrated once a year for pro use and every 2 years for occasional use.
