Will a Classic Mini Metro 998 engine A+ and gearbox attached fit straight into my mini or do i need to change some components on the engine?

My mini is a 1984 Austin.

Thanks.

yes it will fit ,

you just have to take the metro engine mounts off and swap them over with the mini ones.

and if your old motor is an non vetro clutch . you might need to get a vetro kit to use on the metro motor , bracket arm and slave etc

Ive been told that i need to change long clutch arm and thats it...

IS this true or is there anything else like flywheel etc?

Its a box and engine.

No confusion here. if the arm is the long one is pre-verto type inside, otherwise with short arm is verto type inside. You can´t just change only the arm. There's more than that.

Just put the engine in and buy this:

- Clutch Slave cylinder
- Slave cylinder bracket
- Long bolt to fit bracket
- Spacer between bracket and clutch housing
- Use the same CLUTCH PUSH ROD of your mini
- Hose for verto type

and that it for the clutch.
A few more modifications to the water circuit to be as in the mini and is done.

cheers

Worth changing the thermostat housing over too if you can. Its angled differently on a metro.
