basically i went to mini spares last week and bought all new rubbers for the mini including the bonnet seals which run along the front edge under the bonnet and around the back.

After fitting these the bonnet refused to close as it prevents it sitting flat.
Ive tried adjusting the bonnet on the hinges but it still sits too high at the back when seals are fitted.

Any help would be grateful before i go back to mini spares and thow a tantrum =]

The lip at the rear of the bonnet is often bent inwards either by a dent or a poorly made bonnet. Check the bonnet at the back. Unless mini spares have sold you the wrong seall its down to panel fitment issues which is most likely

This is the bonnet seal they have provided me with. Basically pushes on.

so your saying bend the rear bonnet lip toward the windcreen to clear the seal ?

Front bonnet lip seal doesnt allow it to close either. Was getting very frustrated earlier as ive paid good money out at the mini spares
and i thought to myself how hard can it be to put on a rubber seal :proud:

Mini spares or Mini sport?? I think Simon at mini spares might get a bit upset if you shout at him about stuff you bought from Mini sport.

On the corners it can kink up a bit some people slit it on to stop this. I'm not sure what you mean front seal though?
The seal is not the problem, thats the right one. unless its too hard its bending the bonnet but its only thin rubber. Have a look at the back of the bonnet

Thats just a picture i found on google to show what seal im talking about. :proud:

I realised that the rear seal needed cutting to go around the rear due to the kinking.
The front seal mini spares supplied is same as rear seal but shorter. It runs along the front lip under the bonnet.
