hi guys just wonted to ask if you think i will need a return fuel pipe to my petrol tank from a fuel regulator? ive got a avonbar turbo engine and twin cooper s tanks with no return fuel pipe. im not 100% sure if i need a return line or not? what do you think? cheers dave

I think alot of the turbo guys either mod the tanks for a return line, or use a T piece and return the fuel to the low pressure side of the pump.

If your running a regulator then yes you will need a return as well as some inlet into one of the tanks. What fuel pump are you using?

hi stu im using a metro turbo fuel pump my mate who is s mechanic said i can use a regulator with no return just in and out but im unsure.

Roller vane pumps, as used on injection systems & the Metty turbo must have a return. You can damage the pump by running it without a return (though newer pumps have an internal protection valve & just don't pump). As said, the easiest is to put a Tee in the line from the tank to the pump - or get hold of an injection Mini tank.
