I'm not sure if many of you will be able to remember. But back in August last year a very keen mini enthusiast was taken from us. John Teasdale of Shap was involved in a collision with a green bmw on the A6 between Shap and Penrith while driving his Blue Mini Mayfair on the 12/08/2010. Orignal thread for those of you which cant remember.

Anyways, Days before his accident John had bought a rather sorry looking Mini Pickup shell which he was going to restore as he had done with his Mini Mayfair. But unfortionally John never got the chance. Phil , Johns father has decided that he is going to do this Pickup just how his son would of wanted it.

This was Johns Mini.

It was a truely beautiful mini. He spent so much time on it. The colour is MG TROPHY BLUE

This was the Pickup when John got it home.

I dont have access to the photos of the pannel work unfortionally. But from what I can remember Phil replace the floors, Inner and Outer sills, Full front end, and welded up patches.

Shown here is the Pickup in the preping stages before being sprayed. Standing by the Pickup is John girlfriend Jess.

John was also building up a engine in which he was going to put in this. A 1380 engine. Phil has since completed this and has got it in the Pickup.

The Pickup is now almost complete. It just has a small amount of work to be done on it if i am not mistaken.

Hope you enjoyed looking.

Many thanks Jack.

Wow, what a perfect tribute to a mini enthusiast! Can't wait to see it finished, I imagine you won't be selling that one in a hurry!

Never been a fan of pickups but that looks ace, good job.

Thanks to all who have commented it. I'l be sure to show Phil this to show how people say he's doing a amazing job. Spur him on to get it finished.

And i dont think it will ever get sold iDomonix. I can imaging it staying in the family for a very very long time.

Jack.
