Hugely sorry to hear about your accident Madmax.

You mentioned that your door bars on the roll cage probably saved the other car from coming further into the passenger area. Do you reckon a lot more damage would have been done without the roll-cage bars?

I'd really appreciate you letting us know your experience with the roll-cage in saving you in a side impact collision, as this is always something I've wondered about in driving a mini...

i have to say, if those door bars were not there, it would have been much much more significant damage to the car, also i believe the bodyshell to still be straight due to having the extra strength and rigidity of the cage
