As the title quotes i am soon to be starting to learn to drive as soon as i hit 17!

however i have rung several companies about insuring with a provisional license.
they either wont insure you in a mini, or companies like direct line want a whole years
excess? i need it for only a couple of months so then i can insure with Footmanjames.

I need help. as i really need insurance for L2B :)

Any help would I would highly grateful.

I was older at 29 and had bike licence also, but went with a admiral and they insured on provisinal and was only another £60
once passed test. Not sure if they do less than a year or not but they were by far the cheapest for me.

when i was 17 i was insured with tesco as named driver on a 1275 for 80 quid a month when i past that went up to somthing like 110 a month. after a year i then got a policy in my own name with direct line as they were the cheapest. like bunch said i dont think there are many companies that will insure you for a few months as aposed to a full year

Did an annual policy for my daughter, but pay monthly if you want, pro rata refund when you pass.
So it's really only to the day. No charges to cancel either. Think there was a nominal set up fee in the first month.
Can be the only insurance on the car, so it was in her name, with me as a named driver.
tpf&t, about £59 a month for a mini 998cc

Set it up online at midnight on her 17th birthday, 00.05am we were out driving.

It is an annual policy, if you make a claim, I would expect it to become payable in full though, if you don't want to risk that

do a short term policy, but it's dearer.
