Sounds too good to be true!! I'm currently with HIC & my renewel is due next month, so I might give Footman James a go. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you and what level of no claims discount did that include....and also did that include an agreed valuation too?

they are pretty good, although they told me you couldn't get unlimited mileage on a classic policy with an agreed value, will give them a phone!!

as I posted before on another thread FJ quoted me 212 quid with the same conditions as above, saving 400 from my current insurance and 600 from other companies.

I'm 30 and drive a 998 with Stage 1 kit, harnesses and buckets but mind that I had a fault accident :) around half a year ago and, aparently caused 18K in damage to third party (2x :) )

Needles to say I insured my car with them... the chap on the phone was very nice too!

Sorry to hijack but Footman James have been excellent with me until my last renewal in September. My renewal is on my birthday and i had just turned 21. My insurance went from TPTF at £320 on my 1275 cooper to £800 fully comp (apparently can't get TPTF once you're 21!). I was absolutely astounded! That makes 3 years driving since i passed - all with no claims, but i still got charged almost 3x my last years quote.

I. Was. Fuming..... to say the least.

Whats more is that they told me a month or so before that my quote would DEFINITELY decrease because 21 is one of the ages which premiums decrease. Similarly 25 is another such age.

Lancaster were cheaper, but still £770!!

Insurance companies = a law unto themselves

Eh?? >_< Since When??..... I had TPFT insurance up until a couple of years ago and I'm in my mid thirties!! So is this a very recent thing or is it just unique to certain insurers?

Yeah footman and james insured me at 17 with a 998 with twin carbs and stage 3 exhaust, modified head, alloy wheels, £200 of audio cover
Fully comprehensive in my own name.
They also give you 35 days of EU cover, EU breakdown cover and best of all they dont exclude the Nurburgring ;) so i went there in september.
£1100.

I've got TPFT via Footman James and I'm 44. I pay £900 on a standard 998.

Mind you I have recent accident history, there is a 17 year old named driver on the policy, the car is not garaged and we have a Liverpool Postcode.
