Anybody ever seen a mini done completely with carbon fiber? i'm not talking about carbon look stickers, but the genuine article.
Pagani can do it, why cant we?
Actually, was thinking more along the lines of producing carbon fiber subframes door skins, boot, front end, roof skins and replacing as much of the steel with Carbon Fiber as possible to make an extreemely stiff - very light Car - Would clearly need to be put onto q plates afterwards, and the weight distibution would be awful, but was intrigued about it.

Anything can be done with enough £££
but wouldn't suprise me if it didn't turn out to be much lighter than a lightend steel shell, it wouldn't beat Paul W's mini

doubt you'd get much change out of £40k for getting one built

TDK produce a carbon shell and arc angels are in the process of developing carbon rear beams and carbon radius arms. As for the rest to make it super light titanium for the front subframe, tie bars, lower arms and upper arms. I think this combination would produce the lightest combination but unless you have money to burn its not really possible. Regards Blue

This is a pic of the TDK one from their website but it doesn't list the price and i'm sure its going to be mighty pricey. Looks nice though

Cool - now all I need to do is win the lottey and I think i'd build myself a totally CF mini - Pagani's CarboTanium would be nice
obviously i'd only fit a 998 to keep insurance down though.
