I know but I was told they were quite pricey :saywhat:
I could do with a rollin-road report. Not really sure what it checks for, I am a mechanical novice. But the one thing I do know is my mini definately needs attention.
It rarely starts standing, starts when jumped if not - but today the accelerator pedal has gone limp?? Just on my way out armed with my Haynes to see if it's repairable.
hehe it's all good fun

Sounds like theres something wrong with the linkages on the carb, stick a post up in the technical section and you'll get a load of help.
As for garages, theres a few people on here from round your area, (greater manchester) so someone should know of a garage. If not Manchester Minis have a forum all to themselves!

Welcome!
Sounds like your pedal return spring has come off or snapped (more likely just come off)

Thanks 4 help - it was the wire that attaches the pedal to the engine! It had fallen off?!?
I'm now at the bottom of the hill n it still won't start.
I will post on technical for that one though. Cheers
