I thought i'd post a project thread up as i'm starting to hit a few problems.

The car is an M Reg Mini Sprite automatic-
Basically I bought the mini a few years back and it sat for nearly a year until i passed my test. When I got it, it was very rusty at the front and a few other bits. It wasn't in the best condition but had MOT and Tax. I got a compete new front end on the car and then put it through an MOT. As I say it then sat for good part of a year until I passed my test. I had a 106 sitting as well as the mini but when the insurance was so dear, So i got inured on the mini as it still had MOT I then got my brother to tax it for me.
I was using it for a few months until just before a year passed Christmas when my gearbox packed in and was costing to much to fix. I decided i would go for the swap to manual while i had the chance. Its sat ever since in my mums garage with work getting done very slowly but since the turn of the year I have started to get my finger out.
Heres a few photos of how its gone so far.

now its a case of building it all together. But having a couple of problems. I fitted the driveshafts on friday but Cannot get the drivers side into the Hub, I've disconnected the swivel hub but the drive shaft will not push into the hub itself. I then tryed to disconnect the Hub completely (Bolt at bottom) But that is seized on so wouldn't come off. Anyone know what i need to do?
Also i noticed my air filter will not fit in under the bonnet, Heres a photo of how it sits without the top cover on it

I'm now in the middle of fitting my stage 1 kit.

Im also in middle of collecting all parts to do a front end rebuild which will include new subframe, brakes, drive shafts and a engine rebuild.
Also planning on a white roof and hopefully a mini trailer
