can be done and has been done but i like it when your car is actually your car ie- a van is a van, a roundnose is a roundnose and so on.

I looked into this when I was choosing an FG front for my mini and it's more work than is worth to be honest, if you want to retain the inner wings to get round IVA then you need to fit whole new inner wings! Way to much work

so no need for new inner wings if i stick with a roundnose FG front end?

I think some research on your part is in order before you accuse me of "being silly". The IVA is a test to ensure structrally modified bodyshells meet minimum safety requirements, the wings and front panel are not considered structural whereas the inner wings are. Been covered many times by people who know much more about it than me or you and I fully researched it before fitting an FG front to my car.dont be silly, theres just as much need for an IVA if you have inner wings or not, the only difference is getting away with it may be easier, most people can tell its fiberglass tho... but still fitting a FG front end officially would need an IVA with them or not. but to be honest i wouldnt worry about iva's too much, most MOTers wont batter an eyelid.

Hi Guys
This is purely out of curiosity. Just been going over my options with replacing my front end because of an accident and looking at fibreglass(please dont comment on pros and cons of it. im aware of the debates it can cause). I was simply wondering if it is possible to put a clubman front end on a mini that as standard a roundnose? I dont think i would do it, but like i said pure curiosity.
Cheers
