Can anyone help, my mini is stuck in reverse, and I can't shift it.
In the past I always found it a bit tricky to find the right gear and a few months ago after driving for about an hour I pulled into a petrol station and when I pulled away in reverse, I was unable to get it out of gear. It is now still stuck in reverse and Im unsure if this is a gearbox out problem or a simple fix.
The gearbox is manual 1275 with a remote gear change from a 1970 1275GT.

Is the problem that you cannot move the gearstick forward out of gear, or you cannot get it 'across the gate' to where 3rd and 4th are ?

I can't move it forward, its stuck in reverse, I have checked the clutch which seems to be working fine.
