Hi we have a 1966 Mini Cooper S, which we've had about 23 years, my husband is a panel beater and paint sprayer and did her up back then, but recently he's decided to sell her, so she's just had a re spray, new carpet and everything else she's needed, I've joined a few groups for info and photo's etc, and she'll probably be ready in the next two weeks, the trouble is I love the forums, the photo's and the news, so maybe we'll stay on and get another mini, lovely people that have them.....
if I'd owned a mini for so long - especially a "66 cooper s" I would be keeping her... no other mini you buy will replace her... you will regret selling if you do...

You're right I know, she's been sat here increasing in value, and the only reason Nige has decided to sell her is that we don't use her - we have 2 Newfoundland dogs ( lol ) who are longer than the car and he has decided to get a 6 wheeler motorhome, I've just sold my Triumph Herald convertible too, although we do have a couple of other classics, a Fiat 500 and a VW Crew Cab Pick up.
You can see our cooper as it goes along it's restoration here www.classiccar.webs.com new wheels going on next week. awwww Love your mini by the way fab fab fab

I've just noticed you're from the Isle of Man, a guy there has been looking at my husbands work on our website of classic cars and is sending around 10 of his classic cars over to us, for my husband to restore.....

Hi..and welcome to TMF and enjoy.................sad your selling a real cooper S.......................
I don't think he should sell it but he says it comes down to what we will use most and he thinks we'd use something else more, which is probably true with 2 Newfoundlands lol, What I do think is our Cooper S looks sparkling and stunning and very very cute, the more I see her looking this way the more I like her ! I think the issue is - they are worth so much, that for us, we can use the money for other things,
Maybe when the wheels are on next week and the new front seats go in - he'll change his mind when he's driving round in her....
