I was looking at doing this earlier this year, but there are several problems with this.

The way the mini doors open to allow the door to swing up (scissor doors) mean a hefty hinge with spring and damper need to be hidden behind the A pillar.

Conventional cars wings come out past the edge of the A pillar so relatively easy to fit.

Our minis wings sit against the A pillar meaning you have to remove the A pillar and weld in their replacement pillar with built in hinge.

This means removing A panel and wing.

Even then this is a very very tight fit, just a few millimeters out and it wont work.

But the problem i see is the hinges wear and as time goes by the mini door will bend under the weight of being lifted like that, there is some adjustment built in to the hinge kit, but once you have reached the limit your kit is useless, 750 plus panels, paint etc etc or 1500 plus panels and paint etc quid down the drain.

Even then i toyed with the idea but after a few months and several emails/phone calls to autofashion i decided against it.

But hey, this is just my opinion, if i could see it in action and working over a period of time i would easily change my mind.

But the problem is autofashion have yet to mail pictures or detailed fitting instructions despite promises..

Anyone had any luck getting these yet ?

Even if it looked like the coolest thing ever fitted to a car, if its made by Auto'Fashion' I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole!
