Those suposed 'jacking points' at each corner of the sill are not actualy jacking points, but rather mounting points for the dolly that the shell is built on throughout the cars manufacture at the factory.
Jack any Mini on these and the floor will move, very, very, common. It does not mean the shell is weak, thats the job of rust holes :nugget:
confused

Jacking points are on the subframes
Front - around where the lower arm bolts to
rear - inline with rear shock mount
also to help spread the load of the car place a peace of thin wood (3 ply)
between the jack/axle stand and body, As close to the jack as possible
I normally place bricks behind the wheels and depending what I’m doing leave the handbrake on or in gear
and if u take a wheel off place it under the car
A- helps keep it out of the way
B- if the jack/axle stand fails u still have the car in the air so u can get a jack back under.
NEVER EVER USE THE JACK THAT COMES WITH THE CAR
I tried once and ended up with having to put a brick under the jack just the get the wheels of the ground
And is not a good idea if your sills are not in the best condition

if ur dad is willing to spend out on another mini for u then why not keep the one u have and spend extra on that? then you will be with your pride and joy. dont sell it trust me you WILL regret it.
