I have been looking around for awhile now, and with the Mini being around for over 50 years now. I figured that someone would have built a air suspension kit for the Mini. In searching I found this company Airride.co.uk. http://airride.co.uk/?page_id=36

I figured there would be more options though?

its an awesome idea but £5000 odd quid for the one i would get is a bit steep but its a great idea, if you have an abnormally loud exhaust and the police pull you over to check it out just drop the mini right down to the ground so they cant do anything

Ya, I was thinking about it as a replacement for the hydrolatic setup as those parts are hard to come by these days. It can give the same luxury feel to an extent. I just thought that there would be more a least a couple more companies out there with air ride kit options, I guess not though?

Try Rayvernhydraulics as they do a mini kit for a fraction of the price in juice. They would probably be able to do an air set up for much much less too. :)

I asked Ray at Rayvernhydraulics if he could make me an air suspension system for my estate and he said it would not be possible due to the size of the air bags it would be required to lift the car.

You wont get Air on it,not without MAJOR CUTTING/WELDING.If told dif then
they are lying. As you may know the ratio is 5-1 on sus,so you`d need a bag
bigger than 8"dia to lift it.Front leverage is over 1.2 tons. We`ve designed
a hydraulics system that just bolts in NO CUTTING/WELDING,uses factory sus
cones and shocks,so ride is factory. We are an engineering shop so
design/manufacture system`s in house.We understand sus,unlike other
companies who buy in air kits that fit nothing.Cost for a complete kit your
looking at 1000.00.If you want to make an appointment to see us thats
fine. Many years back there was a how to install this kit in one of the Mini
mags.RAY

Indeed.....

I did want to fit their hydraulic kit but you need a 14x10" space it fit the pump in which isn't going to be easy in an estate.

you can fit the pump anywhere in the car. why not put it in a water tight tool box in the buck of the pick up that way it won't get wet and it'd look cool to have it open at shows showing whats hidden within  and is the spare wheel well not deep enough in the estate to hide it up and have it out of the way?
