
Mpi Ambient Air Sensor

Can someone help me? I've had a diagnostic done on my mpi today due to it running badly it's flagged up that there is a problem with the ambient air sensor. Wiring issue or maybe it needing to be replaced. Where on the engine will I find this? Basically the sensor is telling the car that it's -25c so the car is pumping stupid amounts of fuel in to compensate and popping through the engine I believe this will do the engine no good.
I'm hoping someone can help

You can test them by measuring the resistance, it should be about 2000 to 2500 ohms at 20ish degrees.

My garage told me its the ''Coolant Temp. Sensor''.. My '98 MPI Sportpack is running very Lean, and Yes, stinking my garage out and Popping and Banging through the Manifold.? Are we talking about the same sensor here?
No. The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is different from the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor. This is what your garage is talking about:
