i have a HIF 38 carb and need to make a throttle cable linkage

could people post some pictures of theres so i can see how there choke and throttle cable are attached

You should be using the proper abutment bracket.
The proper HIF throttle cable has a plastic clip as part of it, which slips into a notch on the bracket
