Hey everyone
I have a mini cooper mpi year 2000, with a walnut dash, im wanting to fit two extra gauges either side of the clock in the middle, you know like oil pressure and ammeter.
I know you can buy dashboards with these holes already in for extra gauges, but if I was to get a 52mm holesaw and cut my own in would that be a problem, I know its easy enough to do, but I think these walnut dash's have like a laminate coating on them, and im just wondering if it would crack it when i put the hole saw in, anyone else done this before?

Another quck question, dont suppose anyone knows what the standard thread is on the gear stick, for changing the knobs? Im guessing its an imperial one?
Thanks,
Jake
