Please give your topic a title that quickly describes your problem. Just putting 'Help my Mini doesn't work' is useless to anyone trying to help.

Model: austin mini mayfair
Year:1986
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible): alright chaps got a few problems head lights dimp or main dont worrk on my mini replaced all the fueses checked wires ect got a brand new battery also the right side light doesnt work and when you turn the headlighht switch on the rear lights dont come on or number plate light


please help me !!!

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

dodgey fusebox? have you power from both sides of fuse?

Perhaps blown fuse (despite having been replaced) or bad connection in the sidelight circuit - and/or bad earths where they are 'dimp' [sic] ??

Hi just pulled the light switch out and found that there is no spade connectors. Attched to the switch hopeful this will fix the problem I've also found that my washer jest don't work and rear tail lights any advice would be great

Hi just pulled the light switch out and found that there is no spade connectors. Attched to the switch hopeful this will fix the problem I've also found that my washer jest don't work and rear tail lights any advice would be great

if you find out how the tail lights dont work or jet washers, Give me a pm because i got the same problem mate.

alright guys found out why the right had side repeater wasn't working one of the wires had snagged off so gott replace that. does anyone no where the wires connect to from the headlights grill / slam panel area haven't a clue where they go

theres loads of bullet connectors by the slam panel, take ya grill off and youll see em! got to do mine today, clean them all!
they go thru your inner wing up to the lights and from the drivers light up to thru the bulkhead to the switch

ive just had a new front end welded on and the guy who did the welding just pulled all the bullet connectors off and now i dont know where they go

basicly match all your colours up, red to red blue/white to blue/white etc you should have two wires going in to the connector from the drivers side and one coming out.

ok cheers mate will have a look would this be part of the prob why my rear number plate light and tail lights do not work? dont they run on the same circuit

not 100% sure on the back end, think there on the same fuse tho

yeah mate they do run on the same fuse. sorted it now the two brown wires that connect to the fuse box dodgey connection
