I though id make one of these as we have only just started to tinker with her

Well in September 2010 while looking for a mini we stumbled across this little beauty

City E Auto 998:

The bloke we bought her from already did quite alot of work to get her from this:

So for a buy it now price of £1200 we went to Warrington paid the cash taxed her and away we went back to Rotherham
got there in one piece even though she had been stood pretty much for 3 years

The same day Elvis left the building!!

then a quick wash

over the winter did not do much replaced the rubbish bullet mirrors for somthing we could actually see with

but then last weekend we went over to Huddersfield Mini Spares and got ourself a haul

Ripped out the horrible Bulkhead proofing

and then finally the Dashpot Cover, Rocker cover, Brake reservoir cover, cone filter, Lucas ignition coil, Coil cover, Spark plugs, Dizzy cap and ht leads went on phew........

all done by me and my Partner did all the work and we are proud as punch as we did not have a clue how to do anything at the start

Looking for interior next really want a mpi interior though if not cobra recliners

mm not sure says 998cc on v5 what makes you think that ?

just check the engine number, is it starts with 99-- its a 998 if its 12-- its a 1275

LOL, its a 998, the thermostat housing is the obvious sign :thumbsup:

mine is a 998 and has got a diffrent thermostat housing
