62,000 miles. For sale is my Rover Mini Cooper with the Palmer Brothers Works conversion. This conversion delivers 90bhp and consists of:

Payen head gasket and manifold gasket
1.5 roller tip rockers
Stage 3 cylinder head
K 'n' N 57 i induction kit
Modified inlet manifold
Burlen SU 52mm Throttle Body
LBC, Link Pipe and stainless Steel DTM Exhaust

This car has been well looked after and has had no expense spared. In addition to the above, it has also had the following professionally fitted by palmer brothers

Rebuilt gearbox 3yrs ago
New clutch 3yrs ago
Upgraded sports brakes

Also,

The following panels have been replaced professionally by Palmer Brothers:

A panels
Front wings
Bonnet
Driver and passenger door skins
Boot and boot lid
Sills

Which leaves it almost rust free. The only thing left to do is fix some rust under the windscreen (had a quote from palmer brothers for £450) and some by the drivers door.

Apart from the above and the usual stone chips it is in excellent condition and looks and drives superb. It has 10 months tax and MOT, has had two owners and comes with FSH and all the receipts.

The mini is available for viewings in Beckenham, Kent anytime.

Price is £4500 ono. For contact details please see this link http://www.pistonhea...eds/2684372.htm

There is little money arround at the moment and at £4500, it is on the high side considering you have mentioned rust under the windscreen. Its an MPI and most of us know what rust thee means.

I'm happy to consider offers and would even consider getting the rust under the windscreen professionally replaced for the right price. Considering what it's had done, it seems a shame to price it in the same bracket as others with rust when it's had most panels replaced. Maybe I'm being over-optimistic, but considering it's had the works conversion and considering it's had so much work done I thought £4500 was a fair price (Kevin at Palmer bros minis actually suggested £5k).

Thanks for the comments though, it's been difficult to know how to price this one as minis prices seem to vary so much.

Honestly, with an MPI, don't start digging. You'll do the windscreen and you'll find something else. Trust me! Have a look at my thread to see what I mean!

I would hold out for £3500.

Simply, they were made badly with poor materials. Anything around 1980 tends to have the best quality, in my experience.

If you want to see what a rusty MPI looks like, click the link in next to my signature image below.

Thanks Wardy, I appreciate the advice. With this one, I've replaced most of the panels that do rust and this has been professionally done by palmer brothers minis. I was thinking that it would make more sense to sell this to a mini enthusiast to "finish it off" but perhaps it makes more sense to get the windscreen sorted and then sell it rust free. Will give it some thought, but thanks for the advice.

It looks like this will either not go or will go for the bargain price of £3k tomorrow. I will be very sad to this go for such a low price but would rather it went to a mini enthusiast so am posting a reminder here.
