I currently have minisport 4pot callipers with 7.9" discs and 12" Ultralite wheels.
But I'm desperate to go to 10" wheels.
I recently bought a nice set of 10" minilites but they don't fit (only very slightly touching, if I didnt care about my callipers, I could have taken a bit of them and then it probably would have worked fine)

So what I'm wondering is, is there any 10" wheels they will fit with? Its only touching very slightly so I'm sure maybe theres some 10" wheels that work with the 7.9" discs?

Anyone currently using 7.9" discs and brakes with 10" wheels??
Any help much appriciated!
Thanks :D

I think i have heard of people using 10x6 wellers over 7.9" breaks. If you have a mate with some try them. I have some you could try if your in sheffield.

Nope, you need 7.5" discs.

I've tried some 10" minilites and they only very slightly touch which is why its so frustrating.
I guess if theres none that fit with it, I'll just have to stick with what Ive got and start saving for the 7.5" set up >.<

7.9" discs only exist in order to fit 10" rims, why on Earth else would you machine the 8.4" down to this size and have a specific caliper for it?

BUT only certain 10" rims will fit. Or more accurately most will fit and certain rims won't. Cooper S rims and reverse rims, Mag Minilites and one or two others won't fit over 7.9" discs but normal Mini Lites should. Or at least they do over KAD's 7.9" caliper. Ask Mini Sport what will fit over theirs.

I run this set up and they fit fine! However, as you have said they are very close to the caliper so it is impossible to fit them if you have stick on weights to balance the wheels. You need to get them balanced with knock on weights in order to use them. As Dan stated, there are some that will definitely not fit like mamba's, cosmics and reverse rims but most others will if you use your noggin and get the weights changed :D

Take a look at my rebuild thread to see the 10s I have fitted

I am running 7.9" Mini Sport non vent 4 pot calipers.

So far I have fitted Exacton (1100 special) alloys and 6x10 and 5x10 Revolutions.

The calipers were a close fit and I had to use knock on wheel weights as the stick ons catch.

Most modern wheels should fit, the cooper s reverse rims, mambas and some of the older alloys will not due to the shape of the inner rim.

Try an email to mini sport for confirmation of what other 10s will fit.

Be wary of some of the minilite copy wheels as the inside shape is not going to fit.

That's good news, maybe thy changed the inner profile in the replicas they are making now! The originals definitely don't fit! Was gutted as i really wanted them and had to sell the set I had.
