To save everyone writing the same answers to repetative posts, please try doing a search for the problem you are about to ask about.

The search button is located near the top right of your screen or click HERE.

If you don't get a result, don't forget to try the older than 30 days search.

Chances are that your question has probably already been asked! :saywhat:

Also, if you have Questions regarding your mini, before you ask them, check the Frequently Asked Questions or FAQs section, which can be found by clicking this link to see if it has already been answered.

If you've already decided what type of answers you will believe, made up your mind what you want to hear, don't want to spend the money to keep your car running properly or are in any other way not prepared to listen to the advice that experienced people will offer you here when you ask a question.....

Don't bother asking!

It will save us all a lot of time and frankly it's getting really boring now.

The search facility on forums is usually not very good (it's implemented in an odd way in code). Generally is is better yo use google with theminiforum as a keyword.

who dug this up?
its all well and good searching for a topic but the title of the thread doesnt always relate to the content.

so you nealry always get rubbish when you search, although its better than it used to be.

I know what you mean, but google does a much better job of indexing the posts. I'm as guilty as the next man as diving in and asking questions that have been asked before and found that using google was far better at finding previous answers.

The best way to search is this: Type 'site:theminiforum.co.uk *your query here*' into the Google search bar. It will search much better than the forum's search.

Sorry to bring this back up but I thought people should know.

Everyone, do not get hung up about asking repeat questions, however we do ask you try using Google first if you cannot find what you need straight away on the Forum.

If its already been asked and answered its likely it will be the first result that pops up.

No such thing as a stupid question, a stupid answer, well thats different.

This is how I do it, I find it works very well.
