Im hoping one of you may be able to help, ive tried google but to no avail

I just bought a 04 plate vauxhall combo van.... however i have a slight problem

Every time i unlock the doors via the drivers side door, and then open it, the horn goes off repeatedly like an alarm, this stops once i put the keys into the ignition and start it....

the remote unlock key doesnt work, could that be the problem? maybe that deactivates the alarm at the same time?

thanks in advance

As you say i believe it might be the fob as i had a mondeo that would do the same when the battery went in the key.

same as our corsa, it is the alarm because it needs to be deactivated with the remote, i dont know if it can be removed, maybe get a fob programmed or pop a new battery into the one you have it might work!

If the battery in your fob has died, chances are it will need reprogramming to match your car.

to re programme them you do it by inserting the key into the ignition, turning to 2nd key turn, then press the button then the car will lock and open, all done

however i cant get the back off the key fob to replace the key..... its not moving for toffee

Doesn't the centre part of the key "slide out" of the top of the key to get the battery out on them?

one of those small slot screw drivers slid into the slot on the key then a gentle push should popit apart.
