As per title

Any Mini specialists in the Poole/Bournemouth area?

I urgently need one to sort the emissions problems on our mini, a few local garages and 1 supposed specialist has looked at it but couldnt fix it

Yep try Bournmouth Mini Center on 01202 823246 they are located at Woolsbridge industrial est also got a mobile of 07969 093 836 ......hope this helps

I could do with the same thing. I tried Calling BMC the guy there is apparently called Dave King. But I didnt manage to get hold of him.

I need to get mine balanced, so if you do get anywhere with it ... could you let me know please? Is it a carb /s that you need sorting?

Im based in Poole, so must be local-ish???

Try these guys they are only in dorchester so not too far .......what are the problems you both have with your cars ?

All I need is to have my carb balanced, it has passed MOT but requires a tiny bit of choke to run smoothly (even when engine is hot). Guessing that means it is running lean (im not sure).

I would feel happier in taking it somewhere to have it properly set

Hi Chris - try Bournemouth Mini Centre 07969093836 they are suppose to be the best in the area by a long shot think the guy there is called Tony. Dave King is Bournemouth Mini Club we went to him once never ripped me off and my car was worse then when it went in!!!!

Hi all just thought I should share this...

If you want feed back on Bournemouth Mini CENTRE check out this thread at 16v Mini Club - it says volumes...

it is also interesting to note that "Debrena" was the only person on 16v that took the CENTRES side is the same user name that recomended them here and not heard from since.

Dave King is Chairman of Bournemouth Mini CLUB and has been since it started over 12 years ago he has NO connection to Bournemouth Mini CENTRE which has popped up in the last few years trying to trade on his & the CLUBS good name.

I would also like to say as a member of Bournemouth Mini CLUB we have NO affiliation to and do NOT recommend Bournemouth Mini CENTRE

As for Dave King of Bournemouth Mini CLUB I have known him for many years and he has helped me on many of my builds and would recommend him whole heartedly.

I have to say that I can whole heartedly recommend Bournemouth Mini CENTRE for their excellent work and customer service. The link on 16v forum was done out of spite.

I have known the guys at BMC for almost three years now and they have bought two of my cars back from the dead when others have had no luck and numerous other peoples whom I know personally, they come highly recommend .

The comment above holds know weight - I attended ONE meeting at Bournemouth Mini Club around 12 months ago and never went back, I have never met such a clicky bunch of people in my entire life, almost farcical that they advertise as the friendliest club in the South. I would recommend Jurrasic for that, as they run a club properly.

Dave King although he knows the difference between a car and a bike I wouldn't say his knowledge extends beyond that, go to a reputable garage and not to someone who fixes cars in a shed.

I think people should make there own decisions through experience and I have used both above and know who I would go back too!
