Hi guys, I've been looking to get some bucket seats for my car however I'm not sure which ones. I have been looking at the cobra clubman type as i heard they are very comfy. My car will be used as my daily drive so I don't want a seat that will hurt my bum after half hour. I also want a seat that looks quite sporty which is one of the cons of the cobra clubmans. I don't want to pay no more than £400 for a pair of seats and subframes. If you could help me out by recommending a seat that would be great thanks. p.s I'm not that fussed on reclining but i will consider.

There subframes on there two but cba with linking them..

Also I think the second one is better for a daily drive, if you look at the cushion difference you'll see what i mean..

I have some recaros out of a mk1 astra GTE and they are real comfy. I personaly recommend them big time. Bucket seats can't recline and make getting in the back impossible. With recaros you can recline and tilt. They also have nice size boosters on them that really do keep you in position when cornerin fast and its easy to get.in and out of the car were bucket seats can be a pain as the car is low enough. Also with some bucket seats they sit so low you can't see the front of the car. And they really ain't comfy unless they are angled proply and that angle is different for everyone so passengers tend to get uncomftable. Are you looking on runner harnesses or seat belts as with buckets you really need harnesses and again that eliminates back seat riders.

I'll try and get a pic up tomorrow of my seats

Not sure if they'd fit to be honest, but have a look at Lotus Elise or Exige seats. We were always told they were designed by a chiropractor! I cracked my pelvis a few years back (parachute didn't open properly) so I'm picky about car seats. After having a Civic Type R - painful after 1 hour - to a Lotus - 5 hours and no problems! I rate the Lotus seats, they appear on e-bay regularly too. Or maybe ring a dealer as guys were always changing them (for different coloured ones lol).

I really wouldn't mind knowing how you made a subframe for these Recaro seats, I have a set of ford rs turbo Recaro's that I had in a van, and to date these are the most comfy seats I have ever sat on in a car. I took them out of the van with the soul purpose to stick them in a mini when I next got one, and now that time has finally come.

So if you can give me any advice to aid me I will surely buy you a cold beer for your time!

Your seats look really good JoneseyBoy, although I'm not keen on the colour of your rear seats! The recaros definitely suit your car though, how much did you pay for them?
