Lancaster were good to me when I was under 25, now I'm with Footman James
http://www.footmanja...ite/default.asp
V cheap, £115 fully comp for my scimitar (3litre engine!), the Hornet was only 25quid to add on this year!
Reaching 25yrs old was magic on insurance premiums, until then I just had to sit it out.
Good luck, for a car your age its well worth grabbing a classic car mag and phoning round as many companies as you can.

try Liverpool and Victoria, they're quoting me £450 next year for a 1275 GT, i'll be 19 when the policy starts, and have 1 year n.c.d. Just ring directory enquiries, they'll give you the number.

Is it a main policy or do you want a Classic policy. I use Heritage £200 Fully Comp, in b/down cover on the 1380 with all mods declared and an agreed value.

Norton Insurance do classic policies. HIC can bite me, they put my premium up by nearly £100 this year so I told em to get lost and went with Norwich Union, they were loads cheaper and that was with all the mods declaired.

Finally got the insurance done. CIS seem to be the best deal for me. 175 for my dad, 200 quid fully comp with me, and im 17. Norwich Union wouldnt insure the car, they said it was too old. We tried all the main insurers, and they were all much much more expensive than CIS. I recommend them. :)
