Finally after a week of hair pulling, forehead application to brick wall, and serious "I don't know what the F is going"

I've got grotbags new engine started...

A moment of divine insparation saw me ripping out the ducillier dizzy for a good old fasioned lucas, and first F****ng turn there's life..

*Big Grin, running around driveway!*

Sounds sweet as a nut aswell, s'pose I'd better get her down on all fours and take her for a run now...

Ducellier's suck, Lucas's rock! Simple as :grin:

I had a ducellier on the 1098, it was a pile of pants, needed the dwell adjusting every 2 weeks :erm:

Glad to see its running now GW! Is it back to standard 998 power now?

Yup back to 998 power, and by the sounds of it, quite a smooth unit...

But you don't know how close I was to pulling the engine out on Sunday.... Decided to fit a mates Whistle Dixie horns into hi MK1 instead... god he's such a kid ! bit like me realy except I have more hair :tongue:

congrats GW, god i bet that was a great fulling when she started.

i was thinking the same there bungle. ive got no chance when i have a big problem come along lol. i'll just stick to changing fuses and fitting mirrors. lol. (for the time being)
