hi guys im while the mini is striped im thinking about buying a honda del sol 1.6 dohc (complete car) to strip down and use in the mini. is there a link or guide to fiting these engines or someone that can give me advice before i go out and waste my money if its not a good idea.
im hope its just a case of moddifing the front subframe to fit honda mounts and then wireing the loom in. but one maybe daft question is will the dohc motor fit in the front of the mini without moveing the bulk head.

It is possible to fit the the 1.6 Honda engine in a Mini without increasing the length of the wings and bonnet but its very, very, very tight. Inner wings need to be modified and all sorts of brackets manufactured. Anything is possible but it's not a small job. The 16V Mini club is the place to look.
