You might not believe this, but I've just finished a centre console for my car too, which I've also been doing for my A2 Product Design course in college! I've gotta say, it's nowhere near as radical as yours, more of a traditional design, and no armrest, but it's nice to see there's somebody else out there thinking that the market for mini centre consoles could do with a bit more variety
I'm actually just doing the production plans for it now, I've got loads of paper work left to do, but TMF is a handy distraction once in a while

Very good job there fella, the only things I would change is the fixings in the side panels you could of pulled the material back and put the screws in the panel then covered them over with the leatherette again, and also the pleated corners you can warm up the material with a hairdryer and stretch it around the corners and while its under tension staple it underneath thats how we do it on the boat interiors that we fit out. Ok hope this was of some help to you other than these small points you have done really well I think
Thanks, I might have a go with the hair dryer on the side panels to try and get a few crinkles out, trying not to damage the foam underneath.
One of the side panels has to be removable, so that the console can fit in the car in just two pieces, but as you have pointed out, the fixings on the screw could be improved my making them more concealed. Ill photoshop the console with black sides too, to give another view on it.

Kinda disappointed that it looks a bit tatty in places, bad material cuts, etc, but the overall image is just as I intended it to be

Just to say a big thanks to everyone who gave me feedback for my console, it has now been marked and moderated, and I got an A for the project!
Cheers again, everyones input helped me greatly review and evaluate my product!
