I went for a spray glue. In fact this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=190523865764

It works a treat.

If the carpet has a decent backing to it, the main front and rear sections shouldn’t need to be glued down, Witch is always handy just in case the mini ever does leak.

But the rest of the carpet sections and any under felt can just be stuck in place with spray glue.

One tip I do have though, if you happen to accidentally get some glue on the carpets while fitting don’t panic. All you need to do is give the area a quick rub over with a rag and some wd40. Sounds odd that using a light oil will remove glue but it does, it also works on oil/grease stains as well.

I've just fitted a new carpet set to mine. A newton commercial set. I also used one of their underfelt kits.

I used evo stick carpet adhesive bought from Screwfix, (if you go there don't be tempted by their own no nonsense stuff as it's useless).

I stuck all the underfelt down and also the inner wing, under dash, sill and crossmember carpet pieces. The main front & rear carpet sections are quite a tight fit so I have not needed to fix these at all.

Hope this helps

Good luck

Steve

ps. panel wipe also gets rid of glue overspray.

I used to use a combination of gravity and the clips welded to the body to do the job.
Used a bit of spray glue on some bits aswell.

You can use velcro if theres bits you know will be coming back off.

After reading Burnards post, reminded me I got some clips with my kit also.

I haven't needed them but I think you can buy the clips on their own. Might be an option for you.

i used a combination of spray adhesive in between the carpet and the sound deadening and velcro to make them removable from the body
