Just had a really silly idea, and should work..

Contemplating another flip front, bu this time, I'm going to have two fronts...

One Round nose, One clubby, so I can change them...

What sort of issues am I likely to experience, not only with fitting, but also with insurance and registration..

As the subframes are the same, and the only internal bits different wont actually be there (ie inner wings) I don't see a problem.

They will both be steel of course..

I can't see a problem with it myself. I suppose it depends on what the insurance sees as what makes a mini a clubman!

i work for an insurance company and i dont really see the problem, depends what company u use, if u use a bog standard one like the "quote me happy people" they'd probably tell u that u were mad and start quoting more noughts than a tin of spaghetti hoops, but someone like adrian flux should understand, at the end of the day is only cosmetic!

You might have to make up a custom loom for each front (well, thats obvious), what I mean is the Clubby and roundnose have different sidelight arrangements. I like the multiplug method (trailer sockets are good!) of doing it, keeps it nice and tidy - you could locate the plugs somewhere down near the front of the subframe, to make it easy to disconnect but also make to keep the wiring tidy.

Can't see you having any real issues on insurance, unless you go for agreed valuation with photographs, in which case you'd probably need to insure it as having an interchangable front end.

Registration wouldn't be an issue either I wouldn't have thought, register it as whatever it is (like Leyland Cars Mini Clubman 1100 as mine is etc etc). There's plenty of cars out there with different front ends, and providing the chassis plate is present (mount it on the bulkhead?) then I can't think of any issues there.

Thinking about it, there was some one on here that had the two fronts, I think his car was a red colour, and one of the fronts was orange??

Just a thought... Couldn't the police do you for changing the appearance of the car, a bit like a respray? Don't you need to declare it on the V5?

You dont need to declare it on the V5 ... think about it, you dont need to declare on the V5 if you put a bodykit on - that changes the appearance - so why with changing the look of the front end, it only changes the look of the car not the actual car itself. Only thing to be concerned with is if you ever come to sell it, make sure you sell it with the right front end on lol.

please note this is only my oppinion and not fact, tho I still think am right lol
