Hello

I have a 1995 mini mayfair 1.3i SPi which has developed a minor oil leak. It is dripping in 2 places - towards the front of the car (sorry its not more clear). It appears to be running fine but would like to find the cause to repair asap.

Ive recently had the head gasket repaired so could it be linked to that? If not any suggestions as to whats causing it or where to look would be a great help

Thanks

Vic

could be from anywhere to be honest...mines leaked since i had it...but with yours it will be a perished seal somewhere I imagine...main culprit in my opinion is the rocker gasket if thats been recently replaced however you'd need to be patient and watch for drips and locate where they have run from, if its only little drips i wouldnt worry too much

as helstonian said from that description its vitually impossible to tell you mate either a perished oil seal or a leaking gasket somewhere dont think it will be anything to do with the head gasket as that seals between the bottom end and the cylinder head and its only coolant that leaks through there well in my experience its only ever coolant

check the sump plug make sure its tight if it is maybe the copper washers leaking as i said its a trial and error process to fix it one that could take ages to find out where the leak is lol
