I left my car parked on a main road last night well parked as usual i get a phone call from the police at 8.30 this morning 'hello mr.Ed***** your car seems to be parked the midle of the road on Ebrington street do you know about this?'
My reply 'No, it was fine last night but it could have been students'
They then tell me to move it within 10mins as the tow-truck is on its way!

It had only moved a few metres but enough to put it in the middle of a main road not the safest place for poor minty, so i'll be looking to bash some skulls as the day progresses!

it might be funny if it was moved round the corner, but into the middle of the road? No.

Nah my handbrake cable needs tightening, its easily strong enough to hold the car but not when there are what looks like three lads pushing it(three sets of handprints on the back!).

Could be worse. I knew of a guy who went on holiday and came back to find his Westfield sitting in his living room. He'd left his house and car keys with mates and they had very kindly dismatled the car and re-assembled it in his house.

 :w00t:

Reminds me of the story of the bloke who'd always wanted a rowing boat. So he laid down the keel in his attic and built the whole boat in there. Then paid about £10k to have the roof removed so he could get the thing out!

My so called mates at the pub did a similar thing to mine once, all they did was pick her up and turned her so she was facing the other way - all wrapped in loo roll - i was fairly annoyed even at that!

Although i did here that years back when someone else had a mini they lifted it up and moved into a space between the toilets and a wall so the front and rear were facing each end of the space so it was basically wedged and couldn't be driven out - only lifted out!

Hope they didn't damage it when moving it. The guy at the MOT station creased my mums rear arch on her mini when he lifted the back end as the exhaust was catching on the ramp and he obviously couldn't be arsed to get some blocks!

some of my students at college moved my mini into the middle of the car parking lot not to happy because they bent the front and back bumper up when the lifted it willy head i got my own back i bought a couple of packs of rubber gloves and some of the those metal cable clips and strapped the rubber gloves to the end of the tail pipe it was funny watching them drive off

another time at college again we did secret Santa and i got a fan belt and some plasters and a note saying good luck and the gitts had taken my fan belt off
