In my garage at home I have a 1293 engine with a stage 2 unleaded cylinder head sat on my bench. There is also a freeflow exhaust, LCB manifol, water cooled inlet and a HIF44 carb.
I'm no technical genius admittedly, but I am a dab hand at fitting parts and spending money.
NOW...
Should I fit the stage 2 head along with the inlet/exhaust and carb to the clubman
OR...
Buy a stage 3 head and fit that along with the inlet/exhaust etc AND get some new rockers?
The 1293 is going in my 1969 morris which I am building but it won't be finsihed for 3 months or so as its currently in assorted boxes of bits. Which would give me time to source a new head.
What should I do and where should I buy it from. Help!

stage 2 is only a bit of extra port polishing. get a stage 3 because the vales are bigger and you will notice it a lot more.
Get 1.3.1. rockers because 1.5.1 rockers are too much for thye 1275.

Sorry but do you know this for a fact, because you have been asking for engine spec advice for a couple of weeks because you don't know whats what.go stg3 or get a MG 1275 head polished etc... that'll be better...

If your not 100% sure of the answer then watch what you post because if someone goes out and spends hundreds on a new engine based on your information and its wrong, they will be pretty p***ed.

Something to consider is that the proper MG Metro 1275 head with the big valves doesn't have hardened valve seats to run on unleaded petrol.
