[MG-John]

Hi,

quick email to introduce my self.

I've just bought a 94 cooper, (scruffy but solid - or so I think at the minute!)

Its my first mini having always had mg midgets instead, so it will be a steep learning curve.

Its currently sharing garage space with a 64 midget that I've had since 1986, a 74 midget with a caterham supersport k-series engine in it and a very rotten 68 Austin Healey Sprite.

Picked it up last week, and drove home with a huge grin!

hey welcome to the forum!
love the white arches, stripes and top looks immense.
my dad would kill for the austin healey sprite
and my uncle the MG migets aha

anyway looks very tidy and nice wheels. good luck with it!

thanks for your comments,

this mini is a bit of a "Joan Collins car" ie - it looks good from 10 feet but doesn't stand up to close scrutiny!

Its had plenty of welding and is pretty solid, but the paint is cracked/faded/poor quality with lots of overspray on glass/lights etc,

The wiring is an awful mess thanks to numerous previous owners.

The brakes pull wildly to the right.

But....otherwise its ok! plenty of little jobs for me to sort.

what engine you got in the black hard top? is it a vauxhall.
