Model:metro turbo engined mini
Year:engine - 1989 shell - 1976
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible): After replacing the head gasket on the metro turbo engine i dont have much oil pressure, its at about 10psi, i've tried a different gauge and it hasnt solved the problem, even replaced the pipe work and the oil pressure sensor on the block with no change. it does drop abit of oil when the engine is running but cant find where it is leaking from. i havent put a thermostat back in the block as didnt have a new one at the time of putting the engine back together.

thanks for the assistance

How bad were the head gasket problems?

Also what sort of mileage has the engine done?

And the oil pressure was higher before the headgasket failed ?

The thermostat will not have any effect on the oil pressure, however really needs to be fitted as the cooling system will not function correctly without it or a blanking sleeve.
