Hi one and all dad thought he'd have ago at getting the beast up and running, well it runs for 5-20 second intervals then as soon as you put on the accelerater it just cuts out. Dad thought it might of been lack of fuel, so i went to tesco got a £5's worth but still same prob :S any ideas?

adjust the mixture sounds like it could be a possible

Also have you checked the timing?

Have you put oil in the carb dash pot??? thats the black knob on top of the carb

Ensure the ignition timing is right first then sort the idle spead, then the fuel mixture, then re adgust the idle

just a thought but.... are you starting it with choke or does it do it once warmed up? check to make sure the choke is working propely i.e checking the cable isnt loose.
