About 3 months ago my centre exhuast broke on my mini cooper 1.3i single point. It was patched together and taken to the garage as it needed the rear boot rebuilt and a new sub frame. Ive finally got my car back with a standerd exhuast fitted as a temp mesure (long story). However driving it home i didnt seem to feel like it used to. The best way i can describe the way it feels is like in new cars, if you skip from 2nd to 4th without reaching the right speed the car lacks punch until the revs catch up then away you go. For me the mini is like this, it moves but its just lacking the bite. Is this difference what to expect when simply changing back to a standerd exhaust?

an uprated exhaust on a mini makes a big difference. think about it if you have gone from 1.3/4" exhaust to whatever the std which is alot smaller. the engine cannot breathe as well.
edit: assuming that you had 1 3/4" exhaust on before.
