You asking personal opinion on whether it is worth doing or whether it will be nice when done?

Its been done before but the 'worry' of some people is that the water will get trapped behind it and rust away your nice bodywork.

'SE_Juggles' is planning on having his wrapped in carbon fibre vinyl.

All of the above really. I have seen it done I saw it done on the Discovery channel a while back. The Carbon Fibre looks good do you think water could get

under the Vinyl then ? From what I have seen the carbon fibre vinyl isnt cheap !

i think it would be a much longer time before the rust showed through both paint and vinyl...

Wheeler Dealers Wrapped a Mini In a Carbon Fibre look Vinyl, it looks nice and the mechanic on Wheeler Dealers seems to know his stuff and he wrapped a VW Van in a Bubble Effect as well and kept the van for him self, so it must be alright surely.

The vinyl is applied properly, and tightly no water can actualy get behind the vinyl ,and the problem of rust is present on all minis if anything the vnyl keep the water out , granted that a poorly applied vinyl could trap water tho , most of the panels are visible from under ,inside or under the bonnet and I check every now and again , its even kept outside and there is no sign of rust to the outer bodywork at all ,
I'm sure a hard prod with a finger would show up any rust if I had suspision of any specific areas of the car ,

Ed China didn't warp those cars himself he assisted professionals who do it everyday.

As far as rust goes I don't think you'd have any major worries so long s the car was 100% rust free to begin with and the paint underneath the vinyl was in good knick.
