hi i ordered a new clutch which was a 180 mm verto clutch i think i dont know what the difference is between verto and non verto means but its the same as mine when it arrived just a tiny bit smaller the the actually clutch cover about 10 mm will it still work and will it last

Yes it will work. What you can't do is put a 190mm plate in a non-verto.
All vertos will work with 180mm and 190mm plates, 190mm offer silghtly better performance, but unless you have over 100ftlb of torque you'll be happily within the limits of both.
As you say all the plates are the same (verto or non-verto.
