Hello

Just removed the door glass and winder mechanism from my 1991 Cooper as I plan to replace the door skins as part of a full resto, (that is now in its third year...). The two metal and rubber channels that are located on the bottom face of the glass literally fell apart as the glass came out. This is not suprising as I could hear something crunching before the car came off the road but are they still available? If so can anyone recommend anywhere?

Cheers

Window channels are available new from Minispares (they are in the accessory catalogue for some reason now). They are handed and you'll need one of each for on side of the car. They aren't bonded on and don't need to be. You will need to buy a section of flat glazing rubber with the channels, the same rubber as isolates the rear opening windows from the frames. This folds around the bottom of the glass and packs them into the channels really tight (sometimes it's quite hard to get them on) and so they look and feel like they are bonded in but they aren't, just dry fitted.

Thanks for the offer on the channels. Much appreciated but managed to get hold of a set from a mate today....
