steering rack

ive got a quick rack waiting to go on, but i cant seem to get my old on off, ive took the bolt out at the bottom of the steering shaft? and the 4 bolts that hold the brackets in, is there anything else i need to do because it aint movin??

You removed the U-bolts?

think so, r there 2 of them and the bolts go in the inside the car?

I think you have to drop the back of the subframe to allow you room to pull it out

cosh it with a hammer from the inside. that what i did. then found out they needed wigglin off to one side.

If you've completely removed the 2 U-bolts then there isn't holdiing it on, I take it you've taken the steering column off, and the track rod ends are disconnected?

stick a wide screwdriver in the clamp where you took the bolt out of on the steering column shaft. that oughtta free it up
