Hi hope so one can help, every now and then when i turn my engine off it judders a couple of times after it stopes. The engine runs great apart from that and its only done 42k.
The judder (or wobble if you like that kinda thing) are faily noticable and it's starting to slightly concern me now :

Same as above Your engine seems to be running on a little. This is sometimes caused by putting the wrong fuel in, such as unleaded in a leaded engine. Are you sure you are putting the correct fuel in? If your car is leaded u can get LRP Petrol which is a replacement, or buy an additive to add to unleaded

fast idle can cause run on, try adjusting it when its warm.

several things can cause run-on, or "Dieseling" The 2 most common things are:

Fuelling's too rich, which leaves heavy carbon deposits that end up becoming so hot, that the ignite the fuel by themself!

The other common one, is that the timing is too advanced - but I'm not 100% sure on why this makes it diesel though

As above, I had this problem when i ran the clubman on unleaded. If you have the choke out when you turn the engine off this can also cause it to 'run-on' :smartass:

what engine do u have? im not sure about the injections but if its a carb then its a screw that you see if your looking from a birds eye view, on hif44/ hs4 itll be bottom left of the dashpot, hs2 bottom right of dashpot. turn anticlockwise to lower the idle.
