hi
trying to refit some new doors after welding in new sills = step =A pan
but getting the gap right is just making me throw things in rage.
And im not violent honest.the problem is they chatch on the a pan
when they open so i shim them back and the gap looks masive.
please help please :sad:

Try grinding the edge of the A panel down a bit then run a line of weld down it to join it all back up.

The gap on the bottom of the door always looks massive in my experience. Go and have a look at another Mini to convine yourself yours is normal, you can usually get a finger in there.

Yer, Will is right.
I've just been doing this and it always looks massive.
Just get it the best you can, check the door opens and shuts well... which normally means it's fine

what's not true? I made more than one statement.
They always look big? Well they do compared to modern cars.
You can get your finger in? Not all the way in, sure, but further in than say the front or rear edge of the door.
